Apologies to anyone who attended the Louisa Marks tribute at The Fridge on Sunday 13th December 2009 expecting to see Omar.
This situation arose due to lack of communication by the promoter/team. We were initially contacted but the date wasn't confirmed and we never heard back from the promoter until the Friday before the show so we were under the impression that Omar wasn't booked as we hadn't drawn up an agreement which is our business policy or discussed/agreed terms. We spoke to the promoter and confirmed that Omar would not be performing. However it was after this conversation that we found out that Omar's name had been advertised as appearing on the night.
Please understand that this whole situation happened without agreement from omar or his management. But sincere apologies to those who attended under false pretences and for any inconvenience caused. Although we're sure you would have had a great night anyway being entertained by a huge line up. As the whole reason for this event was the important factor which was to pay tribute to one of Lovers Rocks great artists Louisa Marks who sadly passed away recently.

OMAR TAKES TO THE STAGE
Omar has been starring role in a brand new play entitled Been So Long at the Young Vic Theatre in London. After a sucessful run with fantastic reviews the show has now moved to the Edinburgh Festival and is on at the Traverse Theatre from August 7 to 30.
Romance, rage, revenge and rare groove. Been So Long is a neon-soaked new musical comedy written and directed by Che Walker, with music by Arthur Darvill. Omar plays lovelorn barman Barney. The cast also includes Cat Simmons (pictured with Omar), Naana Agyei-Ampadu, Harry Hepple and Arinze Kene.
We at Omar Music & Omar would like to apologize to all who were due to attend the Omar show @ Sugar Hill, Atlanta on Saturday 4th April.
Through no fault of Omar's & circumstances out of his control (bad weather, the late arrival of ground transportation & other delays) the flight from DC to Atlanta was missed.
Every effort was made to get Omar to Atlanta but all subsequent flights were full.
Omar was looking forward to performing in Atlanta which is one of his favourite cities. Again Omar apologizes for the inconvenience caused to all & would like to thank his fans for their support.
We are working towards this show being rescheduled & that you can all make it.
